The 2016 year was an exciting and busy one for eSpokes. In January we moved our Daybreak shop next door to an expanded space to better serve our growing customer base in the Wasatch Front. Little did we know, then, that 2016 would be the Year of the Move(s) for eSpokes. It was just the first of three moves for the eSpokes family.
After the January move the eSpokes Daybreak store continued to provide more and more opportunities and demand more and more time. Each week I spent 9 hours on the road and tracked over 600 miles in the truck as I commuted back and forth.
Two years of weekly trips back and forth between the St. George shop and Daybreak shop were more than taking its toll on the business and our family. Slowly we realized that with the growing demand up North, and the difficulty of maintaining two stores so far apart, that we needed to consolidate our stores.
It wasn’t an easy decision. eSpokes was born in St. George. Our first eSpokes brick and mortar store was in St. George. We had great support from the local bicycle activists, and incredible customers. Additionally, we had made St. George our home for five years, and the prospect of packing up, moving our four children, and consolodating our business was daunting.
Before we could leave St. George we had to make sure our customers had a place to go to service thier ebikes. We partnered with Rapid Cycling, a St. George native bike store, to handle the service needs of our customers. The Rapid Team is sharp and experienced. We met with the Rapid Cycling service team to explain the particulars of ebike maintenance. We are grateful for their willingness to service any eSpokes customer. You can find Rapid Cycling at two locations in St. George: 705 N Bluff Street, St. George, UT, 84770 and 446 S. Mall Drive. Visit their website at www.RapidCyclingBikes.com.
After much deliberation, we made the difficult decision to close the St. George store and consolidate our business into a flagship store in Daybreak.
At the end of May 2016 we closed our St. George store and began the long process (again) of moving a bike store. This time 300 miles away.
We are forever grateful to our terrific St. George eSpokes customers. We are excited to serve you when you come to the Salt Lake area. Additionally, we also plan to be in St. George periodically and look forward to seeing you at events in beautiful Southern Utah.
